The mission of The Adoption Exchange is to provide the connection between children who wait and families who adopt.
The Adoption Exchange envisions a world in which all children are valued and grow up in safe and permanent families, and where families are supported in their critical roles.
Nationwide 129,000 children wait in foster care for adoption. A majority of them are children of minority heritage who face significant developmental, medical, behavioral and/or emotional challenges. Many are members of sibling groups; most are school-aged. The Adoption Exchange works to make the connection between families who adopt and these children who wait.
